In addition, he has written several book chapters, including "Cross-Examination of the Arresting Officer in Drunk Driving Cases" in the book Cross-Examination of Witnesses: The Litigator's Puzzle (Shepard's/McGraw Hill, Inc., Colorado Springs, 1989). Mr. Essen was also selected as a Leading American Attorney in the area of Criminal Defense Law by the American Research Corporation.
